The A. de Jong Group is clearly a family business. Our culture is no-nonsense and informal. Lines of communication are short. We are also a solid, reliable employer, and have been in existence for 133 years!
Albert de Jong, is the fourth De Jong generation to occupy the position of Managing Director. But above all we are a family business in all sections of the company. Sometimes literally: many of our colleagues also have family members who work at the A. de Jong Group – partners, sons and daughters, nephews and nieces. Often also figuratively: We work in a family atmosphere. At the A. de Jong Group you're not a number. The focus is on people.
Facts
Within the A. de Jong Group many things are organised for our personnel. For instance there are end-of-the-month drinks and a company lunch every month. There is also a Dutch Santa Claus party for employees' children and a friendly Christmas drink. Every year a company party is organised and there is also an outing at department level. In December employees receive an attractive Christmas box.
Personnel feel a close affinity with the company. This shows itself in low staff turnover, long-term employment and low absenteeism. The average age at the A. de Jong Group is 39. But you'll still find many 'old hands' within the company. This is because, even after they are entitled to take up their well-earned retirement or early retirement, many colleagues still feel very involved with the business. They are often very willing to offer their expertise at busy times or in the context of knowledge transfer.
